Quite common at food joints, is the thought of why did I get the entree I did? That random green jelly thing at the bottom of your thai drink, the weird stringy thing in your vegan dish, mystery meat at your local school cafeteria. Nobody ever knows what they are, and really, how many people even want to know what they are. We regret the smallest things in life, like why didn't I have a salad with that, or why didn't I guzzle down that tub of ice cream? We also regret the big things in life, why didn't I pack food for this trip, or why did I even visit the zoo without fences?
Regardless of what we regret, it seems that regretting regret itself is a foreign concept.
